STEM Link is a fast-growing tech education company helping thousands of learners build real skills for modern careers. We move fast, create a lot, and care about content that actually earns attention.
The Role
We are looking for a Video Editor who thinks in stories, not just timelines. Your work will shape how people see STEM Link across Reels, TikTok, YouTube, course content, thumbnails, and social campaigns.
This is for someone who watches a rough clip and instantly sees the hook, the pacing, the captions, the cutaways, and the exact moment the viewer should stay.
What You'll Own
Edit short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, Shorts, and LinkedIn with sharp hooks, clean pacing, and strong retention.
Cut longer educational and brand videos for YouTube without making them feel slow or overproduced.
Create supporting graphics such as thumbnails, social posts, carousels, overlays, and simple campaign visuals.
Help the creative team turn raw ideas, student stories, and course moments into content that feels current and credible.
Use AI tools when they help you move faster with edits, motion ideas, captions, image generation, or creative exploration.
Assist with basic UI/UX visual elements when the brand needs cleaner web or product-facing assets.
Who We're Looking For
You have at least one year of practical editing experience. Freelance work, personal channels, campus projects, and client work all count.
You are comfortable with Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or a similar editing workflow.
You understand pacing, sound, captions, rhythm, retention, and visual storytelling.
You have working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar design tools.
You can show a portfolio that proves your taste. We need to see how you cut, frame, pace, and present ideas.
You can juggle multiple edits without waiting for someone to manage every next step.
You are currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Creative Media, Computer Science, or a related field.
Not A Fit If
You only know basic trimming and template transitions.
You do not have a portfolio, sample edits, or visible proof of your creative work.
You need slow approvals for every small creative decision.
You are not interested in design, thumbnails, content formats, or how videos perform after publishing.
What You Get
Compensation from LKR 50,000 - 75,000+ per month, based on portfolio strength and experience.
Real mentorship from a team actively building a fast-growing education brand.
A serious portfolio across short-form content, YouTube, brand campaigns, graphic design, and UI/UX support work.
A creative environment where strong ideas can move quickly from concept to published work.
